Welcome to Blossom with Lana

Hi there!

My name is Lana, a Social Worker with approximately 8 years experience.

I have had the privilege of supporting people from all walks of life through a wide range of challenges. My experience spans hospital settings, including palliative care, where I have worked closely with individuals and families impacted by degenerative illnesses.

In community settings, I have supported individuals and families to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and enhance overall wellbeing. I have also worked in a specialised domestic and family violence service, providing counselling and casework that included safety planning, system navigation, advocacy, and referrals. My focus in this work was helping clients understand patterns of abuse, rebuild self-worth, and reconnect with their sense of identity.

Additionally, I have worked with employment service providers, supporting individuals to overcome barriers to employment and build confidence in their personal and professional capacities.

Helping others has always come naturally to me. From a young age, I’ve had a caring and calm nature, guided by empathy and a genuine desire to support those around me.

Throughout my career, many people I’ve supported have shared how difficult it can be to find a counsellor who truly listens and understands. They’ve told me that, for the first time, they felt heard, seen, and supported. While these moments were deeply rewarding, I often found myself limited by the settings I worked in — unable to offer the depth or duration of support I knew could make a lasting difference.

That’s what inspired me to create Blossom — a safe and welcoming space where you can explore what’s holding you back from becoming the best version of yourself.
